Shaina's newest CD is richer, fuller, deeper. As a long
time fan of Songs for the Inner Child, I was eager to hear her
second release, Bread for the Journey.
The moods on this CD are much more diverse, ranging from the
very powerful and soothing "Brother Warrior" to some
very playful, upbeat songs. (It did take me a little adjusting,
as the mood on her first CD is more single note.) My most surprising
favorite is "On a Clear Day." This is a song I had
heard many times, but never actually listened to! Shaina's version
carries so beautifully the energy and message of this song: On
a clear day...you can see who you really are. The production
values here are much improved, and for me this increase in professional
sound quality only adds to the synchrony of Shaina's lovely voice
and the heart-felt songs.
