1. Jan Adrian, Healing Journeys:

We have played Songs For The Inner Child at a two day conference called Cancer As a Turning Point: From Surviving to Thriving, attended by about a thousand people living with cancer. We have made the tapes available to the participants to purchase. The message of love and peace in the songs has been a powerful healing experience for people living with cancer.

I have had people from the conference tell me a year later that taking that tape home with them and continuing to play it has continued for them the healing that happened at the conference. At a memorial service for a woman who died of cancer, her sister asked me where she could get five more copies of Songs For The Inner Child. She said the music on that tape was such an integral part of the healing that happened between the family during her sister's dying time that she wanted a copy for each family member to help them remember the beauty of that healing time.

2. Dorothy Jean Beyer, OSB:

Here is how I have used Shaina Noll's music in my ministry:

First of all, for those dealing with loss, chronic pain, transitions, traumas, I have found all of her albums bringing much comfort, reassurance, and healing. The words, the music, the quality of her voice bring a soothing peace and calmness of soul, mind and body to those who are hurting. I have found that people start using some of the lines of her music as nourishing mantras that uplift them and encourage them to change and grow.

I have recommended her music to my friends, given tapes/CD's as wonderful gifts, and enjoyed the music, myself, many, many times over.

I hope that she will continue to compose new songs to share! Her "singing heart" is such a gift, making our hearts, singing for joy and peace.

3. Kandice Jones, therapist with the Therapeutic Foster Care Program, writes:

I am a mental health therapist working with highly traumatized children in therapeutic foster care. Most are in foster care or early adoptive placements after transitioning from our Therapeutic Foster Care program. Most have suffered severe parental abuse and neglect in their very tender years.

I have found your music both inspiring to myself in my own healing journey and highly effective to the children and families in my program. Oftentimes music reaches them on a safer/deeper level when speaking the words may be too frightening for them. I frequently use it in my attachment work between foster/adoptive/biological parents and their children during therapeutic activities that include nurturing and holding by the current caregiver. It not only evokes strong emotions in the children, but also in the parents and myself as we feel intense sadness for the children's past loss and wonderful hope for their future.

I would highly recommend your music to other mental health professionals working with traumatized persons, but find it especially powerful for children who have developed major problems building trust and attachments in those who want to give them love and help them heal.

4. Susan Kaye, The Empowered Mother:

A friend walked into my awareness one day and handed me a CD. She said, "Since you love inner child healing, I thought you might enjoy this." It was a copy of Shaina's Songs for the Inner Child. I was very excited just to see the title! After listening for a few minutes, I knew, without a doubt, "This is for me!" As soon as possible I found a bookstore that carried it and purchased my very own first copy.

In my private practice as a behavioral consultant I often play Songs for the Inner Child in the background while visiting with a client. Prior to hypnosis sessions, clients almost always ask for it. Healing, uplifting, caring, beautiful...what more could anyone want? When I decided to create a special creative visualization CD for expectant mothers, everything in my heart sang out: Songs for the Inner Child must be a part of it!

I am truly grateful to the lovely woman who created this beautiful collection of musical peace and harmony for the soul. Shaina has been a source of inspiration and encouragement for me throughout the production of The Empowered Mother--Pregnancy and without her contributions the CD would not be what it is.

5. Shakta Kaur Khalsa, Children's Yoga:

I am Shakta Kaur Khalsa, a Kundalini Yoga teacher and author of yoga books for adults and children. I also present teacher training workshops for those who want to learn to teach children yoga. As part of my Radiant Child Yoga Program, I have begun including the song from Shaina's album, Songs for the
Inner Child
, titled "You Can Relax Now." I loved this song from the very first time I heard it, and Shaina kindly gave me permission to include it on a CD produced as a companion for my Kundalini Yoga book, called Deeply Relax and Meditate: A Companion CD of Music and Mantra. I use this song in my teacher training workshop as a tool for getting in touch with our child within, the child who wants to play, the child who wants to heal. After some very fun children's yoga, everyone lies down in deep relaxation pose and allows the music to penetrate into their deepest being.

The compassionate words and the warm, loving voice of Shaina create an immediate transformation in the room. In a matter of moments, the room becomes a healing sanctuary, a place of grace where the loving touch of the divine mother/father pervades. Usually when the class is over, several people want to have a copy of this song to take home, as it has taken them to their heart's home.

My unbound gratitude goes to Shaina for her deep love and intention of healing for life on earth, which she expresses so perfectly through each and every one of her songs.

"You are the Child of God, and that will never change."

Blessings,
Shakta Kaur Khalsa

6. Gail Kittleson, The Sometimes Line:

Shaina's work, Songs For the Inner Child, is the most healing group of songs I've ever experienced. I say experienced because when I was going through a tremendously painful emotional period in my life, I listened to Side One nearly every day, lying down in a dark room in our basement, and could literally feel the music healing my heart. Since then, I've enjoyed using this music in my presentations about creative growth through change and loss.

It never fails to touch the participants, and once again, me.

7. Linda

Shaina,

I don't know how to begin? I am a therapist and your recording of Songs for the Inner Child has helped me and my clients in more ways than one can express (someone said "you teach what you most need to learn"). I am a survivor of early childhood sexual abuse and I find when I listen to your music I am taking deeper steps in my own healing. There is something about music that heals the soul fuller than any other means. It is the "universal language."

Thank you again for sharing you gifts.

Namaste,
Linda

8. Mnimaka, Crones Counsel:

Dearest Shaina:

I am ordering another copy of Songs for the Inner Child, so that I may keep one with me as I travel. I have found that using Songs for the Inner Child as background music has a calming, soothing effect on any group. Though they are mostly unaware of it, it quiets people as they come into the proximity of the sounds, I believe it takes them into a very deep place of peace within themselves and makes them receptive to their inner voice.

I first used your recording as background music for my Croning ceremony at SpiritPoint Ranch in Escondido, California this January. It was playing as women arrived and the usual chatter was much subdued as everyone greeted one another. When it came time for the crown to be placed on my head, I had cued a favorite song with the crone groups (including the annual Crones Counsel) I have been involved with. "How Could Anyone" started. I was immediately touched as I looked around at a whole circle of beautiful shining crone faces and the words seemed to come from within me. More, your music seemed to evoke a deeper response from all present than any I have seen at a croning before. Every woman seemed to be in touch with a place deep within herself as she spoke, and I believe your recording was at least in part responsible for it.

Thank you for your important part in my Croning.

Blessings,
Mnimaka

10. Riona Aiken and Altazar Rossiter, PhD

Dear Shaina,

We recently returned from a trip to Israel where your Songs for the Inner
Child CD is extremely popular. It was wonderful to work with so many
conscious Israelis who are really committed to finding peace within and
without during these challenging times. They really, really appreciate the
pure love and nourishment that comes through your energy and your music. As a people they have been through so much (generations of persecution) and have an urgent need to heal all now in order to begin anew. Their potential is immense and it was wonderful for us to witness and participate in it's unfolding.

You invited us to include a message about our work on your website. Here is the message.

"In our work of Consciousness Training we work with the energies of Spirit
(our higher aspects, guides and guardian angels) to create a supportive and
nourishing environment for others to heal, renew and rediscover themselves.
Shaina's Songs for the Inner Child have consistently touched people's hearts and facilitated deep healings and transformations, always with tremendous tenderness and sensitivity. It is wonderful for us to work with so many healing sources and to witness the profound transformations that occur in many lives as a result.”

11. Ron and Susan Scolastico

Dear Shaina,

I am so pleased to read that you and your husband are working on a new collection of songs. I cannot tell you how much your music has meant to me. This year, my husband and I will give our 18th annual Spiritual Retreat in California. Every year since I discovered your songs, I use your music to uplift, inspire, heal and move myself and our participants. The purity of your voice is like a laser light that pierces the heart with truth and extraordinary beauty, dissolving walls and healing pain. That may sound trite, but I assure you, I mean every word. I really have found no other albums that consistently carry that beauty with each and every song. I am deeply grateful to you and am anxiously awaiting more!

Most Sincerely,
Susan Scolastico Wearable Art Miniatures

12. Carol Story of Puget Sound Parish Nurse Ministries:

I first heard "How Could Anyone," at the annual Parish Nurse Westberg Symposium in Chicago. The song reached my heart and soul as if it were a gentle touch from the healing hand of God. At home, I listened to the song every time I drove the car - sometimes multiple times a day. I found that each time the song played, not only did tears flow, I was drawn nearer to God in ways I had never imagined. I felt such peace and comfort and wanted to share the songs with others.

First, I ordered several copies as gifts to all the women in my family. Then, I thought, why not play it during the pastoral session of our parish nurse class? I did - and the nurses sat quietly for several minutes after the song ended with tears running down their cheeks. Every nurse wanted to know where they could purchase the tape! no question - this would be a regular part of our class!

We don't know the stories of the nurses who come to study about parish nursing, but we do know they often include pain and unresolved grief. If this one song can begin the inner self healing process for even just one nurse, then we (through you, Shaina) will have provided an opportunity for them to bring healing to the parishioners they serve. Now, we also use "You Can Relax Now" and "Peace Be With You" as we go through our sessions on spiritual and pastoral care. And - all the attendees receive a complimentary tape of their own. They can hardly wait to get home and hear the rest of it!

Thank you Shaina, for this beautiful message that touches the heart and soul of so many.

13. Edie Weinstein-Moser, liveinjoy.com:

Dear Shaina:

I probably heard your song "How Can Anyone" for the first time through the magnificent audio-visual work of Mark Tucker.... or, now that I think about it, even before that somehow, through my friend Alan Cohen. It resonates so completely with what I know to be true about all of us. Sometimes even the most confident among us, need that reminder.

I am a psychiatric social worker, interfaith minister, writer, speaker and clown. The most profound use of the song came a few months back during the course of a 'normal' day at the psychiatric hospital in which I work.

I was sitting with a woman who was a survivor of abuse, who had a history of self-mutilation, an eating disorder and bottom of the barrel sense of herself. I hadn't planned on playing the song when she came into my office, but after a few minutes, it was clear that it was the best medicine I could offer her. I placed it in my CD player and the sweet sounds of your voice and the lovely melody transported us both. I watched as her tears turned to smiles and mine along with hers. Goosebumps (God-bumps is what I call them) rose on my arms as I witnessed her transformation. She immediately asked where she could pick up a copy of your CD. I hope she followed through.

I listen to it several times a week while I am on the road...on Mark Tucker's "Streams of Light" CD and it never fails to boost my spirits. As a minister, I can imagine using it during a wedding ceremony or in a healing service I might offer.

Thank you and bless you for sharing your gifts so generously.

14. Dr Karen Wolfe, Physician, Speaker, Author and Hypnotherapist

Songs for the Inner Child is the most powerful music I have ever known. I use this music for deep healing in so many ways. In my large seminars of 500 people down to individuals in hypnotherapy. The amazing energy in a room of 500 when I play Shaina's "Deep Peace" or "How Could Anyone" or "You Can Relax Now" is palpable, and the depth of healing is more than I have ever experienced personally and professonally.

Shaina has the gift of healing in her music that penetrates the heart and soul. It often moves my audience to tears as the words and music touch their deepest soul. I often recite the following American Indian saying after I have used Shaina's music in a deep meditation exercise with a group:

"Tears are the gift of the Spirit, sent to us to loosen our soil, so we may grow in new and different ways."

Songs for the Inner Child help us grow in new and different ways.

Thank you Shaina for the gift of your healing music

With Love
